You can find both of these options by clicking on the Sunday Worship link.
PRAYER
This week we'd encourage you to engage again with the PCI's 'Let's Pray' resource which is focused around helping you pray, in a relevant way, into a variety of areas, local and global, of the life and witness of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and also into the ongoing challenges facing church and society. You can download this week's 'Let's Pray' by clicking here.

BIBLE STUDY
Our Tuesday evening Bible study returns, after the summer break, for the autumn season, on Tuesday 16th September 2025 at 7.30pm , when we will be setting out to explore the Old Testament book of Nehemiah together.
The book of Nehemiah chronicles a key moment in the history of God's people: the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem after the return from exile. Jerusalem was supposed to have been a city on a hill, a light to the world, a representation of the rule of God... but its people had forgotten this. So the book of Nehemiah shows us the work it takes to rebuild representation of the glory of God. And Nehemiah doesn't just rebuild the city walls; he rebuilds the social and spiritual character of the people too. He deals with justice issues, resists the distractions of enemies, and reinstates the word of God in its place at the centre of the life of the city.
We'd love you to join us in discovering that the book of Nehemiah doesn't just involve knowing about a rebuilt wall! Nehemiah can help us think through any type of rebuilding we might do for God - from our homes and families, to our local church, our communities, and our world. It also points us to Jesus, the greatest ruler and builder of all, and teaches us about gospel mission. So why not think about coming along on the third Tuesday of each month as we journey through the twists and turns of Nehemiah's story to see how, whoever we are and whatever we are facing, God works through His people and uses human hands to build His kingdom supplying all the motivation we need to complete the work He has for us to do. "God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10 GNT)
The questions that we will be thinking into in each of the studies will be available to download from this page at least a week before the Tuesday when that study will take place. If you'd like a bit more information or to chat about what is involved in coming along to Bible Study please get in touch with Rev Fiona.
The first Bible Study in the new autumn season will take place on Tuesday 16th September 2025 at 7.30pm. You can find the questions that we will be looking at together on the evening here.
RESOURCES
The Presbyterian Church in Ireland launched the Present initiative at the General Assembly in June 2024. The initiative will roll out over three successive church years, inviting and encouraging congregations and their members to make themselves fully present to God who is ever present to us.
As congregations we are invited to explore and express being present in four particular ways:
- Be present in this season of life and witness;
- Be present to God as His people;
- Be present for one another in God’s family of the church;
- Be present where God has placed us to be His witnesses.
In doing so the initiative seeks to:
- encourage us to celebrate that God is at work in the ordinary;
- enable creativity in approaching the spiritual rhythms of our life together in fresh ways;
- facilitate the expression of a renewed denominational connectedness among congregations across Ireland.
As such, Present is simple enough for every congregation to engage with, but significant enough to really make a difference if we do so.
The initiative is set to unfold over three years, giving time and space for the theme to become familiar and embedded in our consciousness and then to grow and take root in whatever way is most appropriate in our local setting and circumstances.
