Soul Sustenance
Here are some suggestions to help you be well-fed from God's word in your daily quiet times.
- PCI's 'Tides' - 'Tides' aims to fuel the devotional lives of ordinary disciples through a rhythm of accessible daily devotions. Each weekday morning, 'Tides' provides you with a section of God’s word to read, a short reflection sharing what this could mean for your life, and a simple way for you to respond. This is a home-grown resource, created and written by contributors from right across the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This week sees the commencement of a new series of 'Tides', journeying through the gospel of John. This series will show how John explores Jesus' relationship with God the Father and you'll see how John's gospel points to Jesus' fulfilment of Old Testament prophecy, festivals, and institutions; presents Jesus as the new centre of worship for God's people; and details Jesus' interactions with those who doubted and believed in His identity. If you haven't already, why not think about signing up to receive 'Tides' and take this opportunity to explore Jesus' invitation to 'Come and See' that He truly is the Son of God! - Scripture Union's 'WordLive' - 'WordLive' from Scripture Union is a free, online guide, helping you meet with God devotionally – through the Bible. Each day uses a new Bible passage with fresh resources to refresh your quiet time with God. To access 'WordLive' click here.
- 'Lectio 365' from 24/7 Prayer - Lectio 365 is inspired by Lectio Divina, an ancient way of meditating on scripture, and helps you to P.R.A.Y. the Bible every day:
